There is no one watching football who will not agree to the fact that Manchester City’s starman, Kevin De Bruyne is one of the best passers of the ball. Now, he posts a funny screenshot with a name similar to his in the credits of Drake‘s new song ‘Wick Man’. Assisting on and off the pitch.

American Hip-Hop artist Drake’s new album ‘For All the Dogs’ is already becoming a hit amongst the fans. Recently, the music video of ‘First Person Shooter’ saw the song blow off the charts especially because of Drake x J. Now, in an exciting turn of events, Kevin De Bruyne has shared a screenshot of credits from the American rapper’s new song ‘Wick Man’. Fans online could not believe their eyes when they read ‘K. De Bruyne’ under the ‘Written by’ section. He posted the screenshot and a throwback selfie of him with Drake from some time back on all his socials. The footballer captioned it:

The Belgian footballer, however, let the joke run for a few minutes before seeing that many were taking it seriously. De Bryne was quick to take to his post on socials and write it in the comments of the same. He wrote:

All jokes aside, it's not me! Huge fan though!

Meanwhile, the ‘K. De Bruyne’ under the ‘Written by’ section of the song is a Belgian songwriter Koen De Bruyne. The lyrics of the song were originally written by the Belgian. Nevertheless, the buzz created by the footballer ‘KDB’ is quite funny in the sense of how similar the names of the two Belgians are. If only Kevin had written it instead of Koen. That would have been something else!

Kevin De Bruyne’s expected return from injury

Manchester City fans would have loved if Kevin De Bruyne could return before the showdown game against the rivals Liverpool. But it is too soon according to Pep Guardiola and his medical staff.

Manchester Evening News quoted Guardiola saying:

He [De Bruyne] says he feels really good, but still isn't training or running much. I'd say he's the last one to come back and train with us. I won't say two weeks, one week. We don't put pressure, the doctors say next step. No pressure, recover, it's not necessary to do the bad decisions to come back early. Step by step.

Kevin de Bruyne, Premier League’s assist King, got a hamstring injury in the first game against Burnley. He has been ruled out since then, having played for just 24 minutes in the 2023-24 season.

Meanwhile, the latest reports from the medical staff of the defending champs say that they are expecting their player to return on the pitch by January or February. The Sky Blues will be hoping that when he does return he is back like he never left.
