Kim Kardashian ditches ex-date Cristiano Ronaldo for Lionel Messi, calls him her ‘favorite’ football player
The reality TV star declared that Lionel Messi is her favorite football player after much speculation about the topic.

Kim Kardashian ditches ex-date Cristiano Ronaldo for Lionel Messi. Kardashian was in attendance for Messi’s Inter Miami debut with her son, Saint. She has recently attended numerous games all around the globe. Her son is said to be a huge fan of the sport, and his mother played it when she was younger. His father, Kanye West, also referenced the Argentine in his song “Off the Grid.”
Kim Kardashian was asked about his favorite player in a pre-match interview with Apple TV, to which she replied, Lionel Messi. She also claimed that her son had the same opinion. Kardashian was previously rumored to be dating his rival, Ronaldo. After the game, Saint and his sister North had the opportunity to click a photo with Messi.
The reality TV star attended many games last season. She went to see a PSG game in Paris and was also gifted a jersey by President Nasser Al-Khelaifi. Her children also spent time with talisman Kylian Mbappe. Kardashian then attended an Arsenal game in the Europa League against Portuguese side Sporting CP.
The London club also gifted her a personalized jersey. She and her kids had the chance to communicate with club forward Bukayo Saka. Other than that, she has recently uploaded photos with Norwegian striker Erling Haaland. She has also met Cristiano Ronaldo and Neymar previously.
The Kim Kardashian curse
The notion of a “Kardashian curse” gained momentum when Kim Kardashian attended the second leg of Arsenal’s Europa League last 16 match against Sporting Club de Portugal. Despite Arsenal being the favorites, Sporting managed to advance after a penalty shootout.
Shortly after, Kardashian traveled to France to watch PSG, the dominant Ligue 1 team, play against Rennes. However, PSG suffered a surprising 2-0 home defeat at Parc des Princes. While PSG still won the league title that season, Arsenal’s form declined in April, leading them to lose the Premier League to Manchester City.
In January, Kardashian was spotted wearing a 1997/98 Roma shirt in Los Angeles, leading to a spike in Google searches for the shirt. Unfortunately for Roma, it seemed that her choice of attire acted as a jinx. They lost the Europa League final to Sevilla FC on penalties. However, even if the curse exists, it did not come into play on Saturday, as Lionel Messi’s stunning free kick at the last minute of the game helped Inter Miami win the game 2-1.
