“Kudos to Kudus for running the show” – Twitter reacts as Ghana beats South Korea in thrilling encounter at 2022 FIFA World Cup

Ghana defeated South Korea 3-2 on Monday, ending their heroic comeback attempt, and setting up an exciting World Cup revenge mission against Uruguay. After rallying from a 2-0 deficit, the Taeguk Warriors appeared to be the favourites to win the thrilling match at Education City Stadium, but Kudus’ second goal of the match proved to be the game-winner.

After a sluggish start, Mohammed Salisu put the Black Stars up against the run of play, and Kudus quickly put Ghana up 2-0 after they started to play with true confidence. South Korea’s Cho Gue-sung scored twice with spectacular headers in a frantic three minutes, but those two goals were not enough to secure the victory as Kudus’ composed finish in the 68th minute did.
