Manchester City star Kyle Walker recently went public with crucial details regarding his marriage and personal life. In an interview, the Manchester City captain ’emotionally’ admitted that he nearly left the club in exchange for Bayern Munich. Explaining his decision, he said that he planned to leave to ‘escape’ the shame and turmoil that was set to ensue following news of his extra-marital affair.

Kyle Walker is married to Annie Kilner and has fathered three children with her. The couple are also expecting a fourth amidst news of Walker’s unfaithfulness. The Man City and England #2 has now admitted to having two children with another woman, Lauryn Goodman. The model informed Walker’s wife, Kilner of the news of the second baby via an Instagram text message.

In the interview, Walker elaborated on his plan to join German champions Bayern Munich as an ‘escape’.

The clock was ticking. I got very close to making the move. We were having conversations. I was going to a great, massive club. But in the end, I couldn't go. If I'm there and this happens in Germany, I'm on my own.

Speaking more on his deal with Bayern, he said that he had struck a £15 million deal with the club. Even though he was not keen on the move, a transfer to Germany last summer would’ve been an ‘escape’.

England International Kyle Walker has been the talk on social media following his admission to cheating on his wife Kilner and subsequent apology in an interview.

The 33-year-old issued an apology on social media weeks ago, following which he gave an interview recently on the same. He said, 

I made idiot choices and idiot decisions. What I've done is horrible and I take full responsibility.

He also admitted that he wanted to ‘curl up in a ball’ after news of the same broke earlier. The player is set to play a crucial role in Gareth Southgate‘s squad for the upcoming Euros in Germany. He is currently captain of Manchester City and entering his sixth season at the club. Following the news of the incident, the couple have spent time away from each other, with Walker moving out of the £2.5 million residence.

However, Kilner and their three children remain in Prestbury. Walker met Annie when he was 17-years-old, with the two getting married two years ago, in November of 2022. Kilner announced that the two will be separating after 13 years together, while Walker questioned himself as to how he could hurt someone he ‘loved so much’. The incident was also taken up by fans on social media, with many having a go at the Englishman.
