Following France’s 2-0 victory against Ireland in the UEFA Euro’s Qualifiers, Kylian Mbappe and several French teammates were spotted at the Stade de France, beholding witness to the opening match of the Rugby World Cup in Paris. Kylian Mbappe was spotted in the stands as the French National Rugby Union defeated the Kiwis, 27-13.
The French Rugby team kicked off their campaign with an emphatic win on Saturday. With a 27-13 victory over the Kiwis, they look solid. Meanwhile, a video is going viral on social media, that includes the French National Football Team attending the game. Mbappe, Ousmane Dembele, Antoine Griezmann, and Dayot Upamecano can all be seen in the clip. But Mbappe’s evident clueless cheers in the clip are what has got the internet giggling.
Fresh off the 2-0 win against Ireland, the footy players look relaxed in the stands. It is still unknown if the players were making an appearance out of their own accord or were obliged to do so. After the appearance at the Rugby World Cup, Mbappe and co. are back in action on September 13th when France takes on Germany at the Signal Iduna Park.
However, for their Euro Qualifiers Campaign, France is on an impeccable record, with 5 wins in 5. Les Blues have scored 11 times and haven’t let in a single goal this campaign. France are top of Group A, with 15 points, and will hope to keep this run going.
France maintains a perfect run with a win against Ireland
France maintained their perfect record in the Euro Qualifiers with a 2-0 win against Ireland on Friday. While the home side is undefeated in their journey to qualify for the Euros, they have held on to clean sheets as well. With a +11 goal difference, France sits atop the table with 15 points in 5 games.
This is what happened in the last game against Ireland as well. French side captained by Kylian Mbappe netted twice and remained composed at the back to win 2-0. A one-sided encounter by all means.
Kylian Mbappe deftly passed the ball to Aurélien Tchouaméni, who scored a screamer from outside the box, with just 19 minutes on the clock. Marcus Thuram subbed in for an injured Olivier Giroud, who later made his appearance matter, as he doubled Les Blues‘ lead 3 minutes into the second half. Kylian Mbappe failed to get on the scoresheet in a game that would’ve seen him equal Michel Platini’s record of 41 goals for France.
Now, France faces Germany on the road on Wednesday, who tasted a 4-1 defeat to Japan in the friendlies.
