Kylian Mbappe has finally made a decision and will be moving to Spain to complete his dream move to Real Madrid. A two-year pursuit for the French superstar was finally completed, as the forward has signed a 5-year contract with Los Blancos.

Madrid began their pursuit of Mbappe in 2017, wanting to sign him after his incredible season with AS Monaco. Although he was a huge fan of the team, he decided to move to PSG instead. After consistent performances for PSG, he was once again close to signing for Real Madrid in 2022.

At the last moment, he decided to stay at PSG, signing a contract that made him one of the highest-paid athletes in the world. Two years later, Madrid came knocking yet again, and the 25-year-old now had to choose between the two Giants.

Mbappe has now made his next destination final and has signed a five-year contract with the Spanish Giants. The contract was signed in early February, just a few days before Mbappe informed PSG that he would not be staying at the club anymore.

Kylian Mbappe’s contract details

According to Marca, Real Madrid contacted Kylian Mbappe in January, when the last six months of his contract began. Mbappe had already decided to waive off his optional third year to his contract in the summer, so PSG needed to give an extension to keep him. But in the end, Madrid got the signature of the superstar.

Being one of the best and the most marketable players in the world, Mbappe will be the highest-paid player at the club. He will overtake Luka Modric in terms of wages and will also get a huge pay cut to join Madrid.

His presentation is being planned, with it being in the new and remodeled Santiago Bernabeu on 1st July. It was done early due to Mbappe’s international commitments, with the striker playing the 2024 EUROS and 2024 Paris Olympics for France. His entourage was weary of his image, as Madrid have a new superstar with Jude Bellingham, but he has signed a lawyer regarding his image. He will also get the number 10 shirt, which was worn by legends like Modric, Mesut Ozil, Luis Figo, Robinho and Clarence Seedorf.

Once he joins, he will form a lethal front three with Brazil duo Vinicius Jr and Rodrygo. Along with that, he will have young midfield stars like Bellingham, Eduardo Camavinga, and Aurelien Tchouameni
