Amidst the continued tussle between the French forward and the Parisian club, it looks like Arsenal and Real Madrid are lining up their bids. While Mbappe’s penchant for the Spanish giants has been extensively documented, the North London club is the unlikely runner in the race. Arsenal’s relationship with France is not something to scoff at either. From Arsene Wenger‘s legendary management to Thierry Henry and Robert Pires’ partnership in the “Invincible season”, Arsenal has always had a “French connection” others could merely wish for. However, their recent imports from France, Alexander Lacazette and Nicola Pepe have lowered the bar but it would not dampen Arteta’s spirit.

Real Madrid is a long-term admirer of Mbappe, but they are unwilling to spend such a hefty sum on his signing, focusing instead on acquiring other young players for their future. The recent interest shown by Mbappe in Mikel Arteta’s project at the Emirates Stadium this season has led to his admiration for the club’s reign and reputation.

However, it is significant to note that although Mbappe has shown interest in joining Arsenal by the end of the summer of 2024, no official contact between the player and the club has been reported. Another crucial factor is the financial aspect of such a move, as it would require substantial funds due to Mbappe’s exceptionally high market value, making him one of the most expensive potential acquisitions for any club.
