Kylian Mbappe once defeated Usain Bolt in a sprint and broke his record

Kylian Mbappe once defeated Usain Bolt in a sprint and broke his record. He has proved he really is a speed demon, by recording one of the fastest sprints ever seen on a football field. The player was in inspired form as Paris Saint Germain wrapped up the Ligue 1 title and continued to impose their dominance on the French division.

He clocked a speed of 38km/h against former club Monaco, faster than the 37.58km/h that Bolt averaged when he set his 9.58 second 100m world record in 2009. However, the momentary record was shortlived as Bolt peaked at 44.72km/h during that race, though his average speed over the 100m was lower than the Frenchman’s.

Regardless, it is one of his brilliant achievements and a wonderful asset to have outpacing the opposition as he illustrated over his career. Even if Bolt can beat Mbappe in a sprinting race, Mbappe will still be faster than him with the ball at his feet. Usain Bolt did try his hand out at football, but it did not go as well as it could have.

Bolt tried to fulfill his dream of becoming a football player in 2017. He retired from sprinting and moved to Australia to train with Central Coast Mariners, a football team in the Australian league. However, the move did not work out, and Usain retired from football as well. He did score two goals in his only appearance for the club.

Kylian Mbappe is a Paris Saint-Germain player until 2025 as the 24-year-old signed a contract extension last year to remain with his hometown club, spurning Real Madrid in the process. However, former French footballer Emmanuel Petit believes it’s time for the PSG star to leave the Parc des Princes if he wants to reach another level in his career.

When asked who should leave PSG this summer Lionel Messi or Mbappe, he replied, “Can I choose both? It’s a very tough choice, but I am going to pick Mbappe because I am French. Also because this guy has been a superstar since he was 17 years old. He has broken all the records in France. But if he wants to win the Champions League and become the best player in the world and win the Ballon d’Or, I think he should leave PSG.”

Additionally, Petit believes the door is still open for Mbappe to join Real Madrid despite turning down the Spanish giants and most of their supporters claiming that the train to join Los Blancos only comes once. “I think the door is still open for him at Real Madrid, although perhaps less than it was two years ago,” Petit continued. “I think Florentino Perez said recently that if he wants to come to Madrid, he will always be welcome, but that he should think twice about his salary.
