The Kylian Mbappe to Real Madrid saga has seemingly come to an end. The Paris Saint-Germain captain and French international has been linked with a move to Spain for the majority of the last two seasons. While the 25-year-old managed to elude the Los Blancos’ grasp for a second time running, Florentino Perez has finally got his man.

Several reports now state the PSG captain has signed a ‘deal’ with Real Madrid, which will see him join the La Liga leaders at the end of his contract. While fans are aware of a similar ‘storyline’ in the previous seasons, a significant chunk of reports point to the fact that the player has, in fact, put pen to paper. There is yet to be an official confirmation from either club regarding the same.

Mbappe to Real Madrid was the talk of the transfer window last year, when the player made an unexpected U-turn, tracking back on his decision to join Real and signing a one-year contract extension with PSG. The player is currently on a whopping €1,748,268 a week, and Real will be willing to equal or match the same come next season.

With the prospective arrival of Mbappe to the club, fans are more than confident of taking over Europe and establishing their status as the best club in European football.

Fans react to Mbappe ‘finally’ putting pen to paper

Real Madrid fans are having the time of their lives after Kylian Mbappe to Real Madrid was confirmed by several media outlets. Fans are thrilled at the prospect of having Mbappe team up with the likes of Vinicius Jr and Jude Bellingham. A fan commented that it’s all over for the rest of Europe. While some were in high spirits, the rest were skeptical about the news.

This comes as no surprise, ever since Mbappe ‘fooled’ Real Madrid by signing a one-year extension last year. ‘Ah sh*t, here we go again’ summed up the mental state of certain fans following the news. Several fans mocked Mbappe’s inability to finalize his decision on whether to stay or leave. Some said that they weren’t going to get fooled again, like last season.

Some laughed at how there’s going to be a renewal announcement with PSG a few days later.
