Kylian Mbappe, the PSG superstar, is said to have a house reserved in Madrid, as reported by Spanish sports journalist Edu Aguirre from El Chiringuito. While he’s shown interest in joining Real Madrid, he hasn’t purchased the house yet.
Mbappe’s PSG contract ends next summer, and although Real Madrid was close to signing him in 2022, he chose to renew with PSG instead of signing a 3-year deal with the Spanish club.
Fans strongly believe that Kylian Mbappe will eventually join Real Madrid. As a kid, he was a big fan of the team. In 2012, when he was just 14, he got to visit Madrid’s training ground in Valdebebas. During that visit, he even had a picture taken with Cristiano Ronaldo and Zinedine Zidane, his childhood idols. Mbappe fondly recalled meeting Ronaldo, saying, “He was one of my childhood idols. It was great to meet him when I visited Valdebebas.”
Now, as the 2024 transfer window approaches, Mbappe faces a significant decision: whether to play in his home country of France or fulfill his dream of joining the club where his idols once played.
Where does Kylian Mbappe play in Real Madrid?
While Real Madrid’s position on Kylian Mbappe remains assured, they want the player, where will the player be incorporated? The player has played the majority of his games as a center-forward, the Frenchman loves to drift onto the left side of the pitch, a position currently held by Brazilian forward, Vinicius Jr.
Real Madrid is in dire need of No.9 with Joselu currently leading the lines as an ‘on-loan’ player. While the striker has had a bright start to the season, Madrid may not want to fully invest in a striker who is already 33 years of age.
The signing of Mbappe will guarantee Real Madrid a world-class player but is it the player they need? Many fans believe that it will not make a difference as the quality is enough for the players themselves to figure it out.
Others are more interested in Napoli forward, Victor Osimhen who can be deployed in the center of the attack. With the Nigerian Striker currently on form and winning the Serie A last season, Madrid could choose to invest their capital away from the PSG Superstar.
