Kylian Mbappe‘s mother Fayza Lamari has sparked rumors of a possible twist in her son’s transfer speculation. The French striker has been linked to a move out of Paris Saint Germain after he denied to extend his stay at the club after 2024.
Lamari was present during France’s Euro Qualifier match against Gibraltar. The French won the match with a 3-0 scoreline where Mbappe scored from a penalty in the 45th minute. During the match, a young fan reportedly approached the striker’s mother and asked her about her son’s next possible destination. The fan then told her that he would love to see Mbappe at Santiago Bernabeu next season. To this, Lamari replied with a lot of affection, “Paris, Paris, Paris”.
Real Madrid has been a possible destination for the World Cup winner ever since last year when the club offered him a contract. But things didn’t work out as he chose to stay back at PSG for a new contract which is scheduled to run out in 2024. Although, the contract has an extension option for another year but can only be activated from the player’s side.
Mbappe has reportedly made his stand pretty clear, he doesn’t want to extend his stay at PSG longer than 2024. And so he won’t extend his contract after the end of next season. Although PSG is annoyed with him for his letter that created a commotion in the world of football. The club hierarchy felt that the letter was unnecessary and didn’t take it in a good way. The club is now strong on their position, i.e., either Mbappe has to sign a new cont and stay at PSG or they will sell the player this summer as they don’t want to let him go for nothing.

Mbappe responds to PSG’s reaction to his letter, says criticisms don’t affect him anymore
Kylian Mbappe has responded to PSG’s reaction over the letter he sent them regarding him not signing a contract extension. Mbappe’s contract is set to expire in June 2024 but has an extension clause of one additional year.
In a recent pre-match interview with the Euro Qualifiers, Mbappe talked about PSG’s reaction. He said, “I just sent a letter but it was time ago, not during the international break. Honestly I did not think I was going to offend anyone. I only sent a letter. I didn’t know a letter could kill someone. It’s just a letter. I don’t care about the reactions”.
Mbappe also spoke about facing criticism for his decision. He said, “Explain why I plan to stay without renewing? Guys, there’s nothing to explain. People can talk, criticize… I know why I do what I do and why I say what I say. People don’t have all the information. No need to explain why. I have my own reasons. My only option now is staying at PSG, I already said that”.
