Masked La Liga player plays in Pique's Kings League
FC Barcelona legend Gerard Pique‘s 7-a-side league in Spain called the King’s League, recently left football fans curious. A La Liga footballer played with a mask on his face after not receiving permission to play from his parent club to take part in the tournament.
Pique teased the fans when he tweeted, “For those of you who want the pure stuff, we will make a historic announcement relating to a player who will take part on Sunday.” Gerard Pique’s tweet went viral on social after the masked man showed up in the King’s League.
Later, he said that a “Primera Division [LaLiga] footballer under the age of 30 will play wearing a Mexican wrestling mask to hide his face and long sleeves to cover tattoos.” This Tweet left the fans wondering, with names like Isco (Real Madrid) and more coming onto the fan’s minds with just one question – Who was the La Liga player?
On match day, the footballer who adopted the alias ‘Enigma’ was seen arriving at the venue in his kit and costume. This was shown in a video shared on Kings League InfoJobs Twitter handle. However, the masked man struggled to play in his outfit, given that he is a ‘La Liga player.
As per an ESPN report, the masked player represented XBUYER TEAM against Kunisports. The match ended 1-0, with Kunisports winning the game but social media is still abuzz about the masked man’s identity. Sadly, the ‘enigma’ could not guide him to victory after struggling with his outfit.

Barcelona coach Xavi opens up about the challenge that awaits Ronaldo at Al Nassr
FC Barcelona manager Xavi suggests Cristiano Ronaldo will not have it easy in the Saudi Arabia Pro League. Ronaldo recently signed a mammoth deal with Al Nassr, which meant he would not play European football anymore. However, Xavi, who played in the Middle East for Al Sadd, suggested it is not easy how much people think it is to play in Saudi.
“He has signed for one of the best clubs in Saudi Arabia, but it’s a challenge. This league is very complicated. I played against several of their teams when I coached Al Sadd. It will be a challenge,” Xavi told GOAL.
Ronaldo has played for clubs like Manchester United, Real Madrid, Juventus, and more during his illustrious career. Given his cv, all fans are speculating it will be a ‘piece of cake’ for him in Saudi, but Xavi refused to agree to that fact.
