“La Masia was the best option,” Ansu Fati reveals actual reason for choosing Barcelona over Real Madrid

FC Barcelona’s youngster Ansu Fati has been having a tough season. The youngster has been troubled with inconsistent form and frequent injuries that are keeping him away from the quality of football he is capable of producing. The Spaniard was a part of the Spanish national team for the FIFA World Cup but failed to register a single minute in the competition.
Ansu Fati joined FC Barcelona‘s youth academy La Masia. He played through the ranks of the club and has now become a regular starter for the Catalans. Fati is a promising footballer who has come out of the FC Barcelona academy. He joined the club at the age of 10 and is a loyal servant to the Barcelona badge Although, he did admit that his family went to Real Madrid first before joining Barca.
“Before signing for Barca, I tried out for Real Madrid. That time, they didn’t have a residence for its young players. Therefore, we decided La Masia was the best option.” Ansu Fati told the media. The youngster earned tons of fame after his breakthrough season a few years ago. FC Barcelona also gave him the number 10 jersey after Lionel Messi left the club last year.
Ansu Fati hasn’t found his shooting boots yet as he has been inconsistent in the attacking third. Barcelona manager Xavi admitted that Fati was an important piece for their rebuilding phase. His versatile style of play gives Xavi’s tactics a creative end. Although, he wasn’t the first-choice winger for Luis Enrique as he chose to play Ferran Torres and Dani Olmo rather than Fati in the world cup.
Ansu Fati’s career with FC Barcelona
When Ansu Fati was promoted to the first team of Blaugrana, everyone thought that this kid was special. Fans and players even started to believe that he was Barca’s “next Lionel Messi”. Maybe that’s why Barca gave the youngster the #10 jersey. Ansu Fati played his first game for the senior team in 2019. Since then, Fati has scored for Barcelona 22 times in 78 matches.
Ansu Fati became the youngest player to appear in a Champions League match> He also became the youngest player to score in UCLC in the same season, Ansu Fati is a driving force if he is used right. The winger knows how to create that extra space to dribble through the pitch. Sadly, Ansu fati missed a lot of weekly football due to a series of injuries.
The youngster is deemed to achieve greatness at Camp Nou as they don’t find young players as talented as him. Ansu Fati’s career has just begun.
