“He is the GOAT” – Lakers’ superstar LeBron James hails Lionel Messi for ‘INSPIRING’ new generation of soccer fans in the US

Ever since arriving in the United States of America to play for Inter Miami, Lionel Messi has caused a huge surge in the followers of football. The DRV PNK Stadium was filled to the brim thanks to Mess coming to the club.
Ever since his arrival, many global stars have gone out of their way to watch matches, like LeBron James. James, who is a minority shareholder in Liverpool, spoke about the impact the Argentine has had on Major League Soccer.
Speaking with ESPN’s Dave McMenamin, LeBron James said:
Messi is the goat of football. His arrival not only elevates the league but also inspires a new generation of soccer fans in our country. James was in the audience when Messi made his first appearance for Inter Miami against Cruz Azul. He won the game for the club by scoring a free kick in the 94th minute. He has since played only five more matches for the club. The World Cup winner is now preparing for the upcoming MLS season.
Lionel Messi opens up on Hong Kong no show
Many fans were excited to see Lionel Messi play the Hong Kong selected XI on the 4th of February. Unfortunately, Messi had to sit out due to an injury he picked up and it left many fans unhappy with the situation. Even the Hong Kong Government expressed their frustrations on how Messi was unable to play since they had invested big. Ahead of Inter Milan’s final match of their Asia tour, Messi spoke about how he wanted to play against Hong Kong.
The truth is that it was bad luck that I couldn't (play) on the day of the Hong Kong match. Unfortunately, in football, things can happen in any game, and we may have an injury. It's a shame because I always want to participate, I want to be there, and even more so when it comes to these games when we travel so far and people are so excited to see our matchesLionel Messi said addressing the reporters
Inter Miami will now play Vissel Kobe, on the afternoon of 7th February. Messi has stated that he feels better now, but his availability for the match has not yet been confirmed. Messi also stated that he wanted to play and hoped he was cleared to step on the pitch.
