Legia Warsaw could face another set of UEFA sanctions after fans unveiled an offensive banner during their Europa Conference League tie with Molde. The Polish club has already faced multiple sanctions this season due to incidents involving their fan group, the Ultras.

Football fans hailed the club supporters for taking a dig at UEFA, through their massive tifos. The club qualified from a Conference league group, comprising AZ, Zrinjski, and Aston Villa. Before the recent tifo display, Dutch police had alleged that Legia fans assaulted police officers before a match against AZ, causing one officer to lose consciousness. Subsequently, 30 supporters were arrested the next month due to confrontations with police during their match against Villa.

Due to these incidents, UEFA fined Legia and imposed sanctions, including a financial penalty and the closure of the club’s ‘Zyleta’ home stand for their knock-out game. UEFA had also directed the club to allow only children below 14 in the homestand. Despite these measures, a tifo was presented with the message ‘This time you won, UEFA.’ Meanwhile, in another section of the stadium, the ultras unveiled a large banner with an offensive message, ‘Surprise motherf*ckers.’
