In a viral video, Lionel Messi was asked by a fan to kiss him on the cheek, to which he reluctantly obliged. He was going to train for Inter Miami while this happened. The Argentine is used to these moments since his time at Barcelona, where he had huge popularity. Therefore, he signed autographs on their provided two shirts.

But there was one unusual instance that might have taken him off guard. After getting his jersey signed, a fan asked Messi to kiss him on the cheek. Surprisingly, the Argentine obliged without saying anything. While he might have felt uncomfortable, he didn’t show it on his face. He then took off from the place and left. But, the fan was reduced to tears due to this gesture.

The people accompanying him were laughing and felt it was funny. The video went viral on social media, with many Messi fans hilariously claiming that it should have been them getting the kiss. It left the internet in splits. Many people have noted that the Barcelona legend is very socially awkward. He doesn’t know how to respond properly in these situations. In the next game, he faced Atlanta United. During that game, he scored twice and provided two assists, both to Robert Taylor. After that match, he faced Orlando City FC in the Round of 32 in the League Cup.

He again ended up scoring a brace, winning the game for his team with the scoreline of 3-1. If he manages to continue this form, good things await the David Beckham-owned club.
