Fans have yearned for Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo to share a pic and play against each other once again. Probably two of the greatest players the sport had ever seen, they shared an intense rivalry during their time in La Liga, where Ronaldo played for Madrid and Messi played for Barcelona.

After leaving in 2018, they faced each other only twice. Once when Barcelona and Juventus faced each other in the 2020/21 Champions League, when Ronaldo scored twice to win. The second time was when Paris Saint-Germain and Al-Nassr played a friendly in January 2023, and both scored.

When Messi left PSG for Inter Milan, many believed the two would never face each other again but they were wrong. A friendly between Inter Miami and Al-Nassr was scheduled in the Riyadh Season Cup, which will be played on 1st February.
