According to multiple reports, Lionel Messi could return to his beloved boyhood club Newell’s Old Boys in 2025. The Argentine legend is currently under contract with the MLS side Inter Miami with a contract till 2025. 

Speculations have been created all over social media regarding Messi joining Newell’s Old Boys after completing his stint at Inter Miami. Recent reports from Forbes and ESPN suggest that the young boy from Rosario, Argentina, could return to the boyhood club.

Lionel Messi has always expressed his sheer desire to play for his boyhood club before retiring from professional football. Messi left Newell at the age of just 13 to continue his footballing career at FC Barcelona. This potential return will be a deeply sentimental journey for him.
