The Argentine led his side to a 1-0 win and got their campaign running against Ecuador. The home side (Argentina) saw off the visitors with the help of a lone Lionel Messi goal.

In a video that went viral on social media, Lionel Messi was seen ’embarrassing’ Moises Caicedo of Chelsea in an earlier game where the two teams clashed. Messi is seen doing his trademark ‘drop-of-the-shoulder’, when Chelsea’s $150m man attempted to close him down at the centre of the pitch. The superstar deftly did a feint, and turned one side, before slowing down and going the other way, leaving Caicedo in the dust.

Netizens have praised Lionel Messi for his marvelous dribbling skills, even at the age of 36. The video that surfaced is not of today’s game but from an earlier meeting of the two sides. Today, the Albiceleste triumphed over Ecuador thanks to a sublime Messi Free-kick. The Argentine’s deadly strike went up and above the Ecuador wall, leaving Hernán Galíndez helpless, before finding its way to the top left corner.
