Subsequently, when asked about the same, Messi’s one-word reply surprised many. “NO!” said the player, putting an end to links with Barcelona and other clubs.

Miami are 14th in the Eastern Conference and are officially out of contention. With just one game left to go, the club owned by David Beckham have 34 points. Moreover, Miami’s season ends on the 22nd, against Charlotte.

Defending World Cup Champions Argentina maintained their perfect form with a win against Peru. 7-time Ballon d’Or winner Lionel Messi was in the mood for goals on Wednesday.
