Lionel Messi was at the center of attraction as he pulled Inter Miami from the jaws of defeat in the Leagues Cup. Messi scored two goals including a stunning 85th-minute equalizer against Dallas United.

Messi scored in the 6th minute, giving Miami the lead. But just before halftime, Dallas fought back with a goal by Facundo Quingon in the 37th minute. They scored again to take a 2-1 lead at halftime.

In the second half, Dallas scored again in the 63rd minute, making it 3-1. Miami pulled one back through Benjamin Crimaschi in the 65th minute, but then conceded an own goal in the 68th minute, giving Dallas a 4-2 lead. Things looked done and dusted for Inter Miami. However, Lionel Messi and his teammates had other plans.

In a thrilling turnaround, Inter Miami made their comeback in the 80th minute with an own goal by Dallas United’s player, Marco Farfan. But the real hero of the match was Lionel Messi, who took charge in the dying moments. Miami was awarded a crucial free-kick on the edge of the box, and Messi expertly placed the ball into the net. The rollercoaster of a game ended in a 4-4 draw after normal time.
