Liverpool legend Jordan Henderson is set to quit Liverpool after 13 years at the club. The current captain has reportedly agreed on verbal terms with Saudi side Al Ettifaq. The midfielder is set to reunite with the former Liverpool captain and legend Steven Gerrard, who is the manager at Al Ettifaq.
Henderson reportedly agreed to a contract that is rumored to be a mouthwatering £700,000-a-week. This is four times the amount he earns currently at Anfield. Henderson had a talk with current Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp, who gave him the green light to go. He still has two years on his contract and Liverpool will not let him leave on a free transfer.
Liverpool and Al Ettifaq are thus locked in negotiations over the transfer fee for the England midfielder. Al-Ettifaq would try to get a deal done for £10 million. However, it seems Liverpool are pushing for a fee near the £20 million mark.
Henderson has been the club captain since 2015. Henderson has 492 appearances in all competitions for the Reds. He has won the Premier League, Champions League, Club World Cup, FA Cup, and Carabao Cup with the Merseyside outfit. Henderson became a club legend for the Reds after his pivotal role in bringing the glory days back to Anfield.

Fabinho contacted by Saudi Club Al Ittihad
Liverpool could lose another one of their midfielders this summer. Fabinho has also been approached by Saudi Club Al Ittihad for a move to join them. Al Ittihad has been making waves this summer by signing Karim Benzema and N’Golo Kante.
The Saudi Pro League club’s bid for the Brazilian international, 29, is expected to be worth £ 40 million. Liverpool do not have any other specialist defensive midfielder apart from Fabinho. They are thus unwilling to part ways with him easily.
Hence, Liverpool is looking to sign Romeo Lavia as his replacement from recently relegated Southampton. The club said goodbyes to James Milner and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain with Jordan Henderson on the verge of moving to Saudi.
