French news source L’Equipe recently reported that Liverpool are the strongest contenders to secure the signing of PSG forward, Kylian Mbappe, in the summer of 2024. The French striker, whose contract with Paris ends in the coming six months, is anticipated to spark a transfer battle between Liverpool and long-term admirers Real Madrid.

The 25-year-old forward, in excellent form, is sought after by top clubs worldwide. With 233 goals in 282 games for PSG, he’s the club’s leading scorer. He scored 46 goals in 75 matches for France. Despite talks with Real Madrid and a reported £259 million deal with Al-Hilal, he extended his contract with PSG for another year.

The 2018 WC winner’s contract gets over in the summer of 2024, and he is officially free to negotiate with foreign clubs from the first week of January. Despite Real Madrid’s historic interest, recent reports favor Liverpool as a more formidable contender.
