Liverpool fan damages Manchester United bus ahead of Premier League clash at Anfield

As Manchester United made the trip to Anfield for the Premier League clash against Liverpool, their team bus was attacked by the scousers. A local Liverpool fan was captured throwing a bottle at the team bus which caused damage to its upper deck.

However, Liverpool Football Club immediately issued a statement in solidarity with Manchester United, condemning the incident. They also vowed to identify and punish the perpetrator of this uncouth act.

As the United bus edged closer to the stadium, fans surrounded the area and threw a bunch of objects. It included this bottle which apparently caused damage to the window of the upper deck on one of the two coaches that United took on their short trip to Liverpool.

The club has since promised to hold individuals accountable and punish them accordingly, through their sanction process. This incident certainly fuels fire to the clash between the two sides who share a historic rivalry. It also underlines the need for better security as another incident was reported around Liverpool’s bus being attacked against Manchester City last year.

Manchester United scrape off a point at Anfield

In a tense and highly anticipated Premier League clash, Liverpool and Manchester United played out a frustrating 0-0 draw at Anfield.
