Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah has been linked with a move away from Anfield throughout the summer transfer window. Jurgen Klopp‘s star man has had serious interest from the Saudi Pro League, with Al-Ittihad offering up to £150 million for his services. The Reds were adamant regarding Mo Salah’s future and refused to entertain any offers.
However, with the Saudi transfer window shut for now, there is speculation that Al-Ittihad may come back with an even higher offer amidst reports that Liverpool might have initiated negotiations if there was an offer of around £200 million.
Reports suggest that Liverpool have identified Real Madrid star Vinicius Jr. as a potential replacement for the Reds. The 23-year-ole Brazilian winger is an undisputed starter at the Bernabeu and is the star attacker for the Los Blancos. Vinicius has bagged 59 Goals and 64 assists in over 220 Games for Real. The player fits right into the Profile of star man Mohamed Salah, with his natural goalscoring ability as welm his ability to create goals amd attacking opportunities up front.
However, Real will be reluctant to sell their starboy unless an offer of such high magnitude presents itself. Liverpool may line up such an offer if Al-Ittihad approach with an offer close to the £200 million region. Liverpool may loosen their stand on the Mo Salah situation, provided they recieve £200m plus for a 31-year-old Winger who is not getting any younger.
Jürgen Klopp eyed by DFB to replace Hansi Flick
Following Germany’s disastrous run of form post the World Cup, the 4-1 loss to Japan proved to be the final string in Hansi Flick‘s involvement with the German National Team. The 58-year-old failed to replicate his success with Bayern Munich with the National team, as Die Mannschaft disappointed in the Euros as well as the World Cup in Qatar. The German coach however expressed his openness to the position back in an interview with Sky Germany. Talking to the media outlet, he said that the position of the German Head Coach is one of great honor. However, he said that his commitments with Liverpool stand in the way.
He also said that he cannot leave Liverpool straightway and coach Germany for a ‘short period of time’. He also pointed out that there has been no approach from DFB for the same. Klopp also suggested that he may do something completely different after his time at Liverpool and that he wanted to keep his options open. Thomas Tuchel also emerged as a candidate for the job.
