On 10th February, the much-awaited Super Bowl LVIII will be played in the Allegiant Stadium, Paradise, Nevada. The two teams that will be challenging will be the San Francisco 49ers and Kansas City Chief. While most of the United States are debating on who will win the mega event, a football team across the pond gave their opinions.
Five thousand kilometers away, in England, Liverpool players were made to choose their favorites for the Super Bowl. The players were presented with the caps of the two teams, the Chiefs and 49ers, and were told to pick a hat to choose their favorite.

The first to pick was Virgil van Dijk, who picked the Chiefs hat, stating he was “going Patrick Mahomes”. Darwin Nunez looked confused while picking his team, but decided to take the cap of the 49ers.
The vote kept continuing, as the majority of the players decided to pick the cap of the Chiefs. When Trent Alexander-Arnold was asked to pick up a cap, he picked up the Chiefs cap, commenting:
The MVP is going to win the game, Mr Patrick Mahomes.Trent Alexander-Arnold said
At the end of the voting, the Chiefs won 10-3, with only Nunez, Cody Gakpo and Luis Diaz picking the 49ers. In a short clip put up after the results, center back Ibrahima Konate expressed how unhappy he was that he couldn’t keep the Chiefs cap he picked.

Meanwhile, Liverpool are still on top of the Premier League, but are threatened by Manchester City who have jumped just two points below them, with a game in hand. In their recent match, they lost 3-1 to Arsenal in the Emirates Stadium, which also got the Gunners two points below them.
Liverpool will now play Burnley on the 10th of February at home. Their last two matches of the month are important, as they play Chelsea in the EFL Cup finals and then Southampton in the FA Cup.
