Liverpool star Alexis Mac Allister has created the ‘perfect’ Argentine player after picking attributes of his teammates of Argentina National Team who he would want in a player. The Argentine International was humble enough to not add himself. Given he has had a dream breakthrough into the International side since the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

Alexis Mac Alliser was part of the squad that won the Finalissima in dominating fashion against Italy. While also being an integral part of the Argentina squad that won the 2022 FIFA World Cup. His performance against Poland in the WC group stages caught everyone’s attention. He scored a goal and also got the Man of the Match award.

Mac Allister initially made his international debut in 2019 however was not recalled into the squad until 2022. The Argentine at the time had just started settling in Brighton and thus was not given the proper game time to show his abilities. But, a few seasons in he was a squad player for the club and country.

In a recent video, Alexis Mac Allister created his perfect Argentine player. He picked the left foot of Lionel Messi, the right foot of Leonardo Paredes, the heading prowess of Otamendi, the speed of Julian Alvarez, the strength of Rodrigo De Paul, and the football IQ of Lisandro Martinez.

Some fans online have argued that his choices are not the best as he left out the likes of Angel Di Maria completely. Others have simply commented that the player does not ‘know ball’. But, Mac Allister tends to have different opinions.

Alexis Mac Allister’s life at Liverpool

After impressing performances for Brighton and Argentina, Mac Allister got his big transfer move as he joined the Merseyside Reds, Liverpool. The player played over 35 games in the league last season getting over ten goals and two assists. He also played a vital role in Brighton’s FA Cup run that saw them lose to Manchester United in the semi-finals at Wembley. While he ended the season trophyless at club level, his International performances covered that department.

As Liverpool’s old guard was moving on, a rebuild had to be done. Alexis Mac Allister’s signing was the catalyst. A fee of just £35 million was paid to the Seagulls to acquire the services of the World Cup winner. Many neutral fans could not believe the quality of the player they got for such a bargain. Mac Allister, now, is placed straight into the heart of the Reds’ midfield because of his incredible ball progression and his ability to be press-resistant.

Making him one of the best if not the perfect replacements in Jurgen Klopp‘s system. The Argentina international is also underrated in terms of his tackling, winning over 56% of his duels as an attacking midfielder.

Liverpool have added other players to their squad, like Dominik Szoboszlai, Wataru Endo, and Ryan Gravenberch. However, the signing of Alexis Mac Allister shows that Jurgen Klopp is set to stay and watch over the rebuild at Anfield.
