After Argentina’s historic triumph at the 2022 FIFA World Cup final in Qatar against France, Lionel Messi and Co. have celebrated their victory all over the streets of Capital Buenos Aires. Now, it has been reported Messi is headed to his home in Rosario where he will be celebrating his Christmas holidays. As always, his best pal Luis Suarez and his family will be celebrating their Christmas with Messi in Rosario.

As per reports from Argentina, Luis Suarez along with his wife Sofia Balbi and children arrived at Islas Malvinas International airport in Rosario on a private jet. He then was pictured entering Messi’s house in Rosario and more footballing superstars are said to join the celebrations. Former teammates such as Andreas Iniesta and Sergio Aguero are rumoured to be joining the celebrations.

This isn’t the first time Luis Suarez and family have joined Messi during their leisure break. Suarez and Messi, alongside Barcelona teammate Cesc Fabregas was captured enjoying their summer breaks in Ibiza after disappointing first season with PSG.

Luis Suarez’s Uruguay were eliminated in the group stages of the World Cup after controversial penalty decision lead to them finishing in third position on the basis of goal difference. However, that being in the past, Suarez congratulated Messi for his Argentina triumph. He tweeted: “Congratulations friend! YOU ARE WORLD CHAMPION. Let them say what they want, you are and will be the best.”

Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez grew close during their playing days at Barcelona. Suarez joined Barcelona in the summer of 2014 after stellar campaign with Liverpool. His inclusion in Barca along with Neymar led to the formation of ‘MSN’ which went on to win a historic treble in their first season itself. Luis Suarez also scored in that season’s Champions League final.

After leaving Barcelona, Suarez went on to add another La Liga title with Atletico Madrid after Lionel Messi’s Barcelona. Now plying his trade at Nacional in his home country, Suarez is in the twilight part of his career. Even though in spectacular form at PSG, Messi’s future is still uncertain and a move to MLS is being touted. So, there is are still possibility of Messi and Suarez playing for the same team in the future.
