Luis Suarez for Nacional

Luis Suarez has declared that he would join his old Uruguayan team Nacional. He stated that he has already signed a pre-agreement and anticipates finalizing the move in a video message to followers on Tuesday.

The attacker ended an extremely successful stint in La Liga by leaving Atletico Madrid at the end of the previous campaign. During his tenure in Europe, he also had remarkable experiences at Barcelona, Liverpool, Ajax, and Groningen.

In 2005, Suarez began his professional career with Nacional. He soon secured a transfer abroad and made the Uruguayan national team. He may train for the 2022 World Cup in his own country after returning home.

“First of all, I wanted to thank you for the love you have shown me and my family through all the messages we have received recently. It has been amazing. In a video he shared on his Twitter account, he stated, “When pierced our hearts at this point that we had to make a decision.

And because we had a pre-agreement with the club, it was unthinkable to blow this chance to play again in Nacional.

“Details will be finalized in the next hours, and we hope that the agreement we all desire will be achieved. We can all enjoy this new stage and see each other in the days to come.”

Suarez himself said he had had multiple offers from MLS clubs, and there had been discussion of his moving to the United States.

However, he always stated that preparing for Qatar was of utmost importance. He said that, prior to the competition, it would not be “helpful” for him if MLS clubs who do not advance to the play-offs ended their seasons in early October.
