Netherlands Football Team for the 2022 FIFA World Cup

Louis van Gaal unveiled the 26-man group he will bring to Qatar for the 2022 FIFA World Cup, which includes three Premier League players. Virgil van Dijk of Liverpool will captain the Oranje, while Nathan Ake of Manchester City and Tyrell Malacia of Manchester United also make the squad.

Van Gaal has selected some talented youngsters who are performing well at their respective teams, such as Jeremie Frimpong, Xavi Simons, and Jurrien Timber. Cody Gakpo has also been called up following a fantastic start to the season with PSV, when he scored 13 goals and assisted on 17 occasions.

Tyrell Malacia, Manchester United’s summer addition, is on the roster after adjusting well to the Premier League’s tempo and toughness. Malacia will not be accompanied by Old Trafford teammate Van van Beek, who has yet to strike or assist in seven games for the Red Devils this season. Jasper Cillessen, who has made 63 outings for his nation and assisted the Netherlands reach third at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, is also missing from the roster.
