According to reports, Tottenham have become one of Kompany’s many such admirers. They see him as the ideal candidate to take over this summer. It is also claimed that Daniel Levy has been personally blown away. He loved the way how Kompany has led Burnley back to the Premier League playing a proactive and attractive style.

Last month it was reported that Kompany was on a shortlist with a host of other names including Julian Nagelsmann and Sporting’s Ruben Amorim. Although it is now said he has shot to the top. Spurs have reportedly received glowing reviews of his nature and character. And as such they view him as the person to transform the club.

Tottenham Hotspurs is reportedly interested on Alex Meret as their target to replace Hugo Lloris. The Napoli goalkeeper originally was identified by Antonio Conte as an option.

According to reports, the 26-year-old Italian, Meret, might be set to become Spurs’ first-choice pick to replace their club captain in the long term. Lloris seems to finally be replaced between the sticks at Tottenham after over a decade of service in north London.

Reports have previously reported on Tottenham’s interest in Meret, with Napoli open to selling the keeper for €30m (£26m) this summer even. This is the case even though the shot-stopper is playing a huge role in Luciano Spalletti’s side sitting 16 points clear at the top of Serie A.

Although, at 26, Meret is far from his peak despite enjoying an incredible year with Napoli. And for Tottenham, the Italian has all the qualities to become an exceptional replacement for Lloris. It would be a task that many Spurs supporters have been fearing for the past few months.

Tottenham are reportedly now deciding on Meret as their first-choice target. Although plans can now be put into place to bring the Italian to north London. The Napoli star is a perfect option to take over Lloris’ place in the starting XI for many years to come.
