Manchester City players, Kyle Walker and Erling Haaland shared a heated moment with Arsenal set-piece coach, Nicolas Jover. The clip of the incident has gone viral. This happened as the players were walking back into the tunnel after a late winner sealed all three points for the London-based club.

Reportedly, Nicolas Jover extended a hand to Kyle Walker after the game but the player snapped. The set-piece coach then waved him off and said something that ticked off the City player causing a confrontation between the two. Erling Haaland, who was walking right beside his City teammate, also heard what the coach said and made his way towards Jover. The others, around them, separated the three.

Pep Guardiola was asked about the situation in a post-match press conference where he stated, “I know what happened but I don’t want to say.” He was further asked by a reporter, “Are you happy with the way Arsenal behaved in that situation?” To this Pep replied, “Ya, absolutely.”

It was a frustrating night for Manchester City who failed to impose themselves on the game. Maintaining more of the possession but only having one shot on target, it was a night to forget for Pep Guardiola’s men.

Manchester City will look to change their poor run of results, post the International break as they welcome Brighton & Hove Albion FC to the Etihad. With the return of Rodri, fans and players will be confident of getting all three points at home.

Manchester City suffered back-to-back Premier League for the first time since 2018

Manchester City’s loss against Arsenal meant that it was the first time in 5 years that the blue side of Manchester saw consecutive losses in the Premier League. Dating back to 2018, the losses to Chelsea and Leicester City have now been replaced by Wolverhampton Wanderers and Arsenal.

Pep Guardiola’s side sorely missed Rodri’s composure and Kevin De Bruyne’s creativity against Arsenal this Sunday. The Cityzens looked lackluster going forward against the Gunners. Ballon d’Or nominee, Erling Haaland only managed 23 touches in the game as William Saliba and Gabriel kept the Norwegian quiet on the night.

Managing an uninspiring 4 attempts on goal on the night, this was the lowest number of shots in a game by Manchester City since 2010. However, Premier League fans are sure that the Cityzens will rise again as they always do. With the imminent return of Rodri, fans can expect City to dominate games once again.
