Manchester City ready to pay the same basic pay to Erling Haaland as that of Kevin De Bruyne: Reports

Manchester City has made a ‘secret attempt’ to hold talks with the Dortmund star, Erling Haaland, and sign him as their new striker. According to the reports from The Star, Manchester City management recently held a meeting with Haaland, his agent, Mino Raiola, and father Alfeinge, and presented an offer in which they are ready to pay him the same amount as that of their star man, Kevin De Bruyne.
Manchester City is willing to offer Erling Halaand a wage of £375,000 per week along with some lucrative bonuses and incentives, which could take his total earnings to around £500,000.
Kevin De Bryune is the current highest earner for Manchester City and Halland could equal the number of his wages should he sign for the English side. After some ups and downs in the team as they were knocked out by Liverpool from the FA Cup semi-final, Pep Guardiola is certainly thinking of signing a new striker and Haaland could fit really well in the team.

Pep Guardiola’s side, Manchester City, will take on Real Madrid after ensuring their place in the Champions League semi-final for the second year in a row. They are also sitting at the top of the Premier League table ahead of Liverpool and Chelsea.
However, Liverpool has closed down the gap to just one point with Manchester City and could well overtake them. Pep’s side had some serious issues as their fixtures were hectic and fatiguing. Some fitness issues also hail over them after their matches come in quick succession.
Manchester City definitely needs a new striker for which Haaland could be the best fit for Pep’s strategies. Erling Haaland joined Dortmund in 2020 and since then he has scored 82 goals in 85 appearances and assisted 23 times, which are some phenomenal numbers. Many other European clubs, including FC Barcelona and Real Madrid, also have their eyes on him.
