An Arsenal supporter in a wheelchair was attacked by a Manchester City supporter after their two clubs faced each other at the Emirates. The accuser has since then been apprehended. He was arrested for his actions towards the victim.

What can be described as a joyous moment for many Arsenal fans turned into a nightmare for one specific supporter in particular. She was attacked by a fan of the opposition club post-game. Because of denial to accept the defeat, the City hooligan resorted to violence to let out his frustration at his club’s poor performance this Sunday. Further, video clips of the person being arrested have been spread online. And in a show of support, fans of both the clubs have seen the incident with disgust. While many called him, “F*cking Scumbag”, as they walk by.

However, the Gooners will not let this moment take away from their immense result this weekend. An 86th-minute winner by Gabriel Martinelli sealed all three points for the Gunners at home. This puts them 2nd on the Premier League table behind their North London rivals, Tottenham Hotspurs.

Now, this is the first time in 12 Premier League meetings that Arsenal are on the winning side against Manchester City. Also, this was also the first time since 2018 that the Sky Blues have lost back-to-back games in the league.
