The silver ball was won by City’s captain Kyle Walker and the golden ball by the Champions League final scorer Rodri. Rodri also went before completing the full game as he was hurt by the nasty challenge. However, this victory makes Pep Guardiola’s fourth club World Cup victory and his fifth trophy in a season with City.

Fluminense secured the runner-up position as Al-Ahli came third. It was Manchester City who will now be lucky enough to wear the new winner’s badge for more than a year as they look to carry the winning momentum and clean-sheet spirit back to the league.
