Manchester United and their supporters have every reason to feel on top of the world. Sunday’s FA Cup quarter-final clash saw the Red Devils manufacture an iconic comeback victory against rivals Liverpool. A tie which many saw to be an easy win for the Reds ended in an unexpected scoreline. 4-3 read the scoreboard as United fans went into pure bedlam.
Two late goals, one from Marcus Rashford and the other from Amad Diallo meant that United ‘finally’ got the better of Liverpool after being at their mercy on several occasions. The Ivorian forward hadn’t been able to find a regular spot in recent seasons as he was sent on multiple loan deals across England. However, he truly found a spot in the hearts of fans as he found the net in the dying seconds of the game.
Diallo found himself through on goal as United went forward for one last counter-attack. Alejandro Garnacho put Diallo through on goal, after which the youngster found the net from a tight angle.
His shot struck the inside of the post and went into the net as United fans pitched up in heaven. Fans have already started hailing him as a club legend as social media now knows only one name – Amad Diallo.

United fans have every reason to celebrate on social media. Following their emphatic win at Old Trafford, fans took to social media, with the significant chunk of praise going to Amad Diallo. A fan labeled him as a club legend already, with another claiming that his goal was the most important one United had scored easily.

Many equated his celebration to that of Lionel Messi‘s, after he scored an iconic late winner against Real Madrid. Many fans were quick to question those who doubted Diallo and his ability. Some saw that his winner was only fitting for his struggle and recovery following his injury at the start of the season.
Many said that his red card was the best red card ever. Tweets praising the youngster’s goal and spamming images of his celebration are making rounds on social media. The final is scheduled to be played on the 25th of May at Wembley stadium.
