“Cook that small club” – Fans troll Man United as Fulham Twitter admin takes cheeky dig at club following 2-1 victory at Old Trafford

Just when things started to look good for Manchester United, the Red Devils were handed a significant blow to their top 4 hopes. Before the game against Fulham on Saturday, the club hadn’t known defeat in their last seven games. Just as the club was picking up form, along came Fulham to spoil the Manchester party. A 2-1 defeat at home has further delayed the Red Devils’ pursuit of a European spot this season.
However, it didn’t end with a 2-1 loss. The Fulham Twitter admin had more in store for the United fans, as a tweet that was posted moments after the game has now gone viral across football Twitter. A late win against tougher opposition had Fulham fans feeling on top of the world. The crucial three points also come at a time when the club is struggling to pick up points.

Opposition fans weren’t impressed with the admin’s decision to mock their stadium, even more so, while being 12th in the league.
Following the defeat, United spurned a chance to go ahead of Tottenham Hotspur, who were within three points.
Fans troll Manchester United after Fulham admin ‘dunks’ on their fanbase
The Theatre of Dreams couldn’t exactly live up to its billing for the hosts on Saturday. However, their opposition, with a late 90’+7 winner, stole the show and went home with all three points. A frustrated United were once again, handed a blow to their top-four hopes after five consecutive wins in all competitions. A fan seized the opportunity to mock United fans and named their stadium as the stadium of tears.
Another said that ‘small clubs’ in England show the confidence to make such tweets only while playing against United. Fans were reminded of how Newcastle United also had a play on their name after knocking them out in the EFL Cup. A confident United fan said that mocking their clubs never ends well, pointing to what happened to Brighton and Newcastle.
Many were quick to blame Erik ten Hag for making their club into a laughingstock across Europe. A lot of supporters hailed the Fulham admin for ‘cooking’ United and their ‘unruly’ fanbase. The club is 12th in the League, with 32 points in 26 games. United will look to put the defeat behind them but face a tough run of games against Manchester City, Everton, and Chelsea in their next five games.
