Gary Neville has always been at the forefront of Manchester United’s discourse. The former Premier League and Champions League winner did not hold back in a passionate rant against the Glazers and their poor management of his former club. He said even though people say that they can’t blame the Glazers, “it is exactly the Glazers whom they should blame“.
Neville blamed United’s overall failure on the management and said that it ultimately boils down to the fact that there is no proper sporting director or head of recruitment. He labeled it as “ten years of failure and miserable recruitment“. He said that a lack of proper hierarchy forces coaches to do the “recruitment” themselves, thereby setting them up for failure. The fact that United has sacked managers 5 times in 10 years proves that sacking Erik ten Hag will not solve United’s ‘problems’.
He then proceeded to list out United’s failure in managing finances. The club being £700 million in debt and owing another £300 million to clubs does not help their situation. He also expressed his concern for new shareholder and ‘owner’ Sir Jim Ratcliffe, as he wondered how he was going to “sort things out”. Neville called for a change in structure at the top and altered the way “the sporting project is looked at“.

Gary Neville’s honest analysis of Manchester United vs Liverpool
Manchester United are on the back of a 3-0 defeat to Bournemouth as Liverpool pose their next daunting challenge in the Premier League. The former Manchester United player gave a brutally honest analysis of this Manchester United side and it is safe to say that he is not impressed. Neville said;
Come Sunday, if you're a United fan, you have a feeling that you'll be beaten and done in.
He also said that United must be wary of Liverpool as they are a “professional bunch” and that United may not have it in themselves to surprise them (the fans). Neville believes that United lacks both the quality and leadership to go to Anfield. “That is a bearpit for a United player,” said Neville. He said that unless the players put their chest out and show courage on the ball, “it can eat you alive“.
He sarcastically added’
Before that, they face the minor and very small challenge of Bayern Munich in the Champions League.
Neville added that United being fearful and tense of the upcoming fixtures outlines the current state of the club. Subsequently, failing to win against Bayern Munich will see United crash out of their Champions League group. A week from now, table toppers Liverpool will be no easier task.
