Manchester United have been enduring a rough patch as of late. The Red Devils are on a poor run of form, with just 5 wins in their last ten games. A 3-0 defeat to archrivals Manchester City put the club in complete disarray. Moreover, head coach Erik ten Hag had also come under pressure after recent losses and is desperate to bring the club back to winning ways.

As if their existing worries weren’t enough, United now face problems in the jersey department as well. As per several sources, many United players have complained that the kit stockings are tight. Adidas are the kit sponsor for the Red Devils. United players have been wearing £13 socks instead of the Adidas-issued kit socks. Andre Onana, the United keeper, has also expressed his dissatisfaction with the team kit.

The United keeper has apparently informed that the official kit is too tight and has then shifted to the fan version of his kit. While the official kit costs £82.50 on the club website, the replicas, now worn by the players, are available for £60.

Players have also resorted to cutting holes on the calves portion of the socks as a temporary measure.

The latest developments pertaining to their jersey have elicited laughs on social media. Many saw it as an opportunity to add insult to injury to the club’s current state. A fan commented “Man Utd are finished. Dusted club at all levels.” Here are some of the other reactions:

It is worth noting that neither the club nor the manufacturer (Adidas) have issued an official comment on the same.
