Liverpool being ‘better’ than Manchester United does not seem like a far fetched idea. The Red Devils have endured a less than convincing season under Erik ten Hag, with a significant proportion of fans leaning towards the club being better off without him. United will be tested yet again as they prepare to face off against Liverpool in their only possible competition to lift silverware.

Even though Liverpool are miles ahead of Ten Hag’s men, former Liverpool defender Jose Enrique went a step ahead in his prediction. While United have been on the wrong end of things against Liverpool in recent years, Enrique, who played at Anfield from 2011 to 2016 felt that United are no match for his former club.

I don't see Manchester United getting a result on Sunday. It was more of a 50/50 when I played for Liverpool, and they were not this superior to United. It's still a difficult game for Liverpool, but I think they're going to win. I'd love Liverpool to pick up a 5-0 win here, for Liverpool and also for Jürgen Klopp.

Jurgen Klopp wary of two United players being for Sunday’s showdown

Liverpool have had one of the most unfortunate of experiences this season when it comes to injuries. The Reds have missed several important players throughout the course of the season, with Mohamed Salah and Alisson Becker just to name a few. However, Jurgen Klopp and his men have directed an impressive turnaround of their fortunes, and remain the number one candidate for a quadruple.

However, Klopp is wary of two rival players finding fitness ahead of the game against United in the FA Cup. When asked about the possible return of two United stars, Klopp responded candidly, admitting that his side will be troubled if they are to return.

United have a lot of quality and injury problems. Maybe Hojlund is available again. Wan-Bissaka is close. That obviously makes a difference. We will see on Sunday.

While Liverpool fans are hopeful of a victory on Sunday, United will not back down easily either. The Red Devils have their ‘only’ shot at silverware at stake and with Ten Hag’s job pretty much on the line, fans can expect fireworks. United are sixth in the Premier League while Liverpool are much higher up. In fact, The Reds are neck to neck with Arsenal and second only due to their inferior goal difference compared to the Gunners.
