Manchester United makes a €30m offer for this Real Madrid attacker: Reports

Marco Asensio and Manchester United

According to the sources, Manchester United has made the decision to submit a proposal of more than €30 million for Real Madrid’s forward Marco Asensio. Four significant additions to Manchester United’s roster have been made during the active transfer period. For a total of more than €140 million, they signed Tyrell Malacia, Lisandro Martinez, and Casemiro.

The Red Devils are adamant about adding to their roster before the transfer window closes on September 1. They reportedly make signing at least one new forward a primary priority. Erik ten Hag’s first choice to increase his options in attack has always been Ajax winger Antony. The Old Trafford team is optimistic about signing the Brazilian, and a €94 million sum has been suggested.

Cody Gakpo of PSV Eindhoven is reportedly attracting interest from Manchester United. Asensio of Real Madrid has recently become a new target for the English powerhouses. According to the aforementioned source, Ten Hag’s side is prepared to increase their interest in the attack by making a bid that is greater than €30 million. The precise financial information involved is still a mystery.

But as the window closes, the Red Devils might have to contend with rival teams for Asensio. According to the source, clubs in England and Italy are open to making a bid for him. Another obstacle for Manchester United will be persuading Los Blancos to approve a transfer for the 26-year-old. If the news is accurate, Carlo Ancelotti plans to keep the player on his club this season.

Asensio paid €4 million to transfer from RCD Mallorca to Real Madrid in 2014, however he spent a season on loan. Prior to returning to Santiago Bernabeu, he previously played on loan with RCD Espanyol during the 2015–16 season.

Since then, the international for Spain has made 236 appearances for Los Blancos in all competitions. In those games, he scored 49 goals and handed out 24 assists to his teammates. Additionally, Asensio has assisted the La Liga powerhouses with 15 trophy victories, including three UEFA Champions League crowns. He is currently positioned below Federico Valverde and Rodrygo in the hierarchy, though.

Only seven minutes have been played by the winger so far this year. He might be tempted to leave Real Madrid in quest of regular playing time with the FIFA World Cup in 2022 just around the corner.
