Manchester United not ready to sell Cristiano Ronaldo to a Premier League club even if satisfactory offer arrives: Reports

Cristiano Ronaldo

Famous sports journalist Ben Jacobs has reported that even though Manchester United respect Cristiano Ronaldo’s wishes to leave the club should a satisfactory offer arrive, they will not accept one from a Premier Club.

This comes in after reports suggested that Cristiano Ronaldo’s agent, Jorge Mendes met with new Chelsea owner, Todd Boehly to sign the 37-year-old, something that has left Manchester United ‘Irritated’.

‘No indication Tuchel wants Cristiano Ronaldo’ – Player not yet discussed with Chelsea yet

Talking about the potential transfer, Ben Jacobs said, “Not too much should be read into that meeting, though, in this context. Told Ronaldo was discussed but he was not the reason or focal point for the meeting.”

“Boehly introduced himself and multiple names were spoken of. No indication Tuchel wants Ronaldo. Mendes has also spoken to Bayern as well before Chelsea. This strongly suggests Ronaldo made up his mind to listen to offers before ten Hag or based on any summer incomings alone.”

“Keeping Ronaldo for another season, even with 20+ goals, may not help ten Hag change things. PSG are bound to be mentioned (imagine CR7, Messi, Mbappe and Neymar!).”

“Mendes actually approached PSG in April, again suggesting Ronaldo’s was considering his future long before ten Hag. Luis Campos’ arrival doesn’t appear to have changed PSG’s stance.”

Manchester United fans are highly disheartened by Cristiano Ronaldo’s latest stance. If the player does leave the club and joins a Premier League rival, it will not bode well with the fans at all.

One of the biggest problems for Cristiano Ronaldo is his wages. Only a few clubs in Europe can pay what the player demands and so it will not be easy to find a new club for Cristiano Ronaldo.
