Manchester United have put up some of their stars up for sale, with Erik ten Hag ready to let go of them to overhaul his squad. Some of these players include players who have a drop in form or have fallen out with ten Hag.
Jadon Sancho, put up for sale, hasn’t played since a fallout with the manager post the Arsenal loss. He’s training with the academy squad. Raphael Varane, sidelined by Lindelof and Maguire, started only once due to an early-season injury. Reports hint at a disagreement with Ten Hag.
Casemiro is another player on sale. The Brazilian had an incredible season which ran into this season, but the player has not featured ever since an injury against Brentford. Due to his unavailability, the club has decided to put him up for sale.
Dutch midfielder Donny van de Beek is one player United have been trying to offload for a long time. Bought from Ajax in 2020, the midfielder has only played 62 matches for the Red Devils, often finding himself on the bench or not even in the squad. These four players are paid a combined £1.08 Million per week as well, so offloading them could help them buying new players.
Manchester United – November’s treble winners
Manchester United have had a great November in the Premier League. They won every single match without conceding a single goal, which helped them reach the top 6 of the Premier League table. To award them for these performances, Erik ten Hag won the November Manager of the month award, beating Eddie Howe of Newcastle United, Andoni Iraola of AFC Bournemouth and Rob Edwards of Luton Town.
Harry Maguire won player of the month for his brilliant individual performances ever since he was reintegrated into the playing XI. He put up an amazing defensive number and was awarded the award. Meanwhile Alejandro Garnacho won the Goal of the Month award for his stunner against Everton, where he scored a bicycle kick to open the scoring.
After beating Chelsea 2-1 in the league, United will now face Liverpool in Anfield on Sunday. Their last visit was memorable as they were battered 7-0, their biggest defeat in the Premier League era. After that they will host Bayern Munich as they attempt to qualify for the Champions League round of 16.
