With the January transfer window edging all the more closer, clubs have begun to clamp down on their transfer targets. English giants Manchester United have endured a rather challenging and underwhelming season so far. Up front, both Marcus Rashford and Rasmus Hojlund have struggled in the Premier League. As per the latest reports, the club has shifted its attention to Sevilla’s Youssef En-Nesyri to bolster its attack.

Højlund is yet to score in the Premier League and Rashford has only managed two goals so far this season. They are out of Europe as well as the Carabao Cup. Manchester United earlier targeted Serhou Guirassy of VfB Stuttgart, but it was later revealed that the Guinean preferred a move to Tottenham Hotspur instead. Guirassy is in stellar form, scoring 19 goals and 2 assists in 16 games.

Youssef En-Neysri offers an alternative to the Bundesliga player. He currently piles his trade at Sevilla and has racked up nine goals as well as 2 assists in all competitions. The 26-year-old Moroccan came into the limelight for his performance during the 2022 World Cup. Sevilla are out of contention in Europe and unlikely to qualify for next season’s tournament as well (currently 15th in La Liga).

This makes the player an easy target for the Red Devils. Sevilla are looking to offload players to bring down expenses, and Youssef En-Nesyri has been valued at around £16 million.

Manchester United told to BRING BACK Mason Greenwood amidst Barcelona and Real Madrid interest

Manchester United ‘let go’ of Mason Greenwood back on deadline day, as the club announced that he would resume his career at Getafe. The Englishman had not played for United after being arrested and under investigation for alleged physical abuse. Even though the investigation failed to gather conclusive evidence, United chose to offload the player from the club.

It was not until his fourth match for Getafe that Greenwood got off the mark. However, he has continued to impress fans ever since, and a stellar performance against Atletico Madrid called for shouts of a potential return to Manchester United. Ex-Man United academy player Ravel Morrison commented on a video of the player’s performance against Atletico. “What a player. United need to bring him back!”

His performance even warranted praise from Antoine Griezmann.

Greenwood really caused problems in the second half. We couldn't contain him and that cost us the game.

So, it will be interesting to see where Greenwood ends up going after the completion of his loan spell at Getafe.
