Manchester United’s Rainbow Devils group urge fans not to make homophobic chants in PL matches

Manchester United‘s LGBTQ supporter base has taken a stand to prevent any form of homophobic chants. The LGBTQ supporters urge fans not to make any abusive comments towards any race, creed, or gender. 

Manchester United faced then Frank Lampard-led Everton in the FA Cup. The Reds supporters were seen making abusive homophobic comments and chants while the Ten Hag side secured a 3-1 victory. Frank Lampard who is now the caretaker manager of Chelsea was subjected to abuse and homophobic chants during the match.

The LGBTQ supporters have urged not to make any such comment while Manchester United locks horns with Chelsea. The pride community has also urged the ticket holders to warn about penalties and consequences one may face if he resorts to ‘offensive language’. The community has also asked the club to take ‘all necessary actions’ against individuals.

The activities of racism and homophobia have increased in the last few years during the matches. The recent incident of Vinicius Jr. becoming a victim of racism is not unknown. In fact, FA imposed sanctions on the Wolves ‘for homophobic chants’ while they locked horns with Chelsea. The chants of homophobia and racism are not mere ‘harmless banter’ but are ‘hate crimes’. It has to be seen how the request of LGBTQ supporters gets executed while Ten Hag side faces Frank Lampard’s Chelsea.

Eric Ten Hag‘s side Manchester United has kept Harry Kane on the priority list. The Old Trafford side wants to sign a deal with the Tottenham Hotspur forward in the upcoming transfer window. It is reported that Ten Hag wants to see the move with speed so they can make a free transfer. 

Harry Kane is running out of contract in the upcoming month of June. The Englishman would still be a difficult target for Manchester United. Daniel Levy would be keen to keep his star striker and would be a hard nut to crack for the Reds. 

It is reported that Harry Kane is interested in the future prospects of Eric Ten Hag. The Manchester United coach wants to encash on the current opportunity to sign the forward and increase their chance of winning a title. On the other side of the page, Daniel Levy would be pulling all his strings to keep the English forward in the team after a disappointing season. 

Manchester United also targets the likes of Victor Osimhen, Mason Mount, and Rasmus Højlund. They want to make Harry Kane move early so as to get time for other transfers in the upcoming transfer window. It is to be seen how the Harry Kane transfer negotiations advance between Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur.
