Manchester United’s superstar might leave for free after 2022-23 Premier League season: Reports

According to reports, David De Gea, the most capped player in the current Manchester United squad might leave for free after this Premier League season. De Gea’s current contract with United is set to expire in June 2023. The Spaniard who joined Red Devils from Atletico Madrid in 2011 has now served 12 long years for the English team.
David De Gea signed for United at the beginning of the 2011 season replacing their legendary Goalkeeper Edwin van der Sar. He was signed for a British record fee for a goalkeeper at that time of approximately €18.9 million. He made his debut against Chicago Fire in a friendly match on 23 July 2011.
He always amazed fans all over the world with his great reflexes and quick reactions, his stretch and positioning brilliance has always been there in deciding many matches for his team. He made his first senior international appearance against El Salvador in a 2-0 friendly victory on 8 June 2014.

Manchester United in the 2022-23 EPL Season
Manchester United started this season’s preparation very early as they announced Ajax Manager Eric Ten Hag as their new boss, replacing the Norwegian Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. They signed star players including the Argentinian Lisandro Martinez and Danish superstar Christian Eriksen.
The Red Devils started the campaign by losing their opening two matches against Brighton and Brentford respectively. Since then they have been in red hot form, they have now won four consecutive games and stand fifth in the EPL points table. They will now face Manchester City on Sunday, October 2 at 6:30 pm (IST).
