Even though Sir Jim Ratcliffe‘s take-over of Premier League giants Manchester United is no secret, the deal has finally been made official. The INEOS Chairman and businessman has acquired a 27.7 percent stake at the club. His investment of £1.3 billion at the club is aimed at bettering the club’s facilities and bringing the club back to ‘the top of world football’.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe beat Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad al-Thani to the take-over, as the INEOS chairman outbid the rest of his competitors. From an overhaul of club policy in player management to a transformation of the 114-year-old Old Trafford, Ratcliffe and his council have a lot planned for the club. His take-over was shown the green light by both the Premier League as well as the FA.

Becoming co-owner of Manchester United is a great honor and also a great responsibility. This marks the completion of the transaction but only the beginning of the journey to take Manchester United back to the top of English, European, and World football.
