Former Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho was given a heartfelt welcome as he returned to his former club, Borussia Dortmund on a six-month-long loan spell. The young star was greeted by Marco Reus, with both players sharing a warm and affectionate hug.

Manchester United decided to loan out 23-year-old English forward Jadon Sancho to his former club, Borussia Dortmund, for six months until the summer of 2024. The talented winger had a forgetful three-year spell at Old Trafford, failing to live up to his massive £73 million price tag. He will now return to the Bundesliga outfit, where he excelled making 137 appearances and scoring 50 goals. He also won the DFB Pokal in 2021 and successfully made it to the Bundesliga Team of the Season twice.

Upon an emotional return to his former side, Jadon Sancho was greeted by his fellow Dortmund teammates including former club captain, Marco Reus and midfielder Giovanni Reyna. Reus and Sancho once shared a ‘special connection’, which was rejoiced after the players shared a hug in the Dortmund dressing room.

Sancho completed his medical successfully ahead of his loan move to the German side. A video shared on the club’s official social media platforms captured Sancho’s playful interaction with Reus and other teammates.

Sancho’s arrival at Dortmund could although push Marco Reus down the pecking order, as the German midfielder is currently experiencing a lack of playing time owing to strained relations with club manager, Edin Terzic.

Upon his return to Borussia Dortmund, 23-year-old English talent Jadon Sancho is looking to revive his form after a challenging tenure with Premier League giants Manchester United. However, questions have arisen regarding his role and position within the Dortmund lineup.

Currently in the Bundesliga, the German club is in 5th place with 27 points from 16 games, trailing behind Leverkusen, who has 42 points. Sancho is anticipated to have an immediate impact on the team as he returns to his former position on the right wing.

In his earlier seasons with the club, Sancho scored 50 goals and provided 64 assists, forming effective partnerships with Haaland and Reus. Now, he aims to replicate this success with Adeyemi, Füllkrug, Brandt, and Malen.
