On Friday morning, Marcus Rashford couldn’t participate in Manchester United’s training session. Erik ten Hag told the press he was in doubt for their FA Cup fixture against Newport County, which will be played on 28th January. Along with Rashford. Jonny Evans is also ill, which makes his selection for the match against Newport County in contention.

Two days before missing practice, he was spotted in Belfast, Northern Island. He had visited the training center of the NIFL Premiership club, Larne. The club employs Rashford’s former teammate, Roshuan Williams. Williams was in United’s Youth Academy and was close friends with the forward growing up.

He was then spotted at a pretty famous nightclub in the city, Thompsons Garage, and a bar called Bradbury Place. As Thursday was a day off, he decided to take the trip to the city. On Thursday, the footballer fell sick and then had to miss training on Friday morning.

Rashford has been underperforming in the current season. In the 2022/23 season, he scored 30 goals in 56 matches but has managed only four goals in the current season. He has managed four assists but still struggles to find output.

Manchester United play their next match on Saturday, where they face Newport County in the FA Cup on 28th January. They then face Wolves at the Molineux Stadium on 2nd February. The Red Devils are struggling, with them being 8th in the league. As of now, the FA Cup is their best chance at winning a trophy, with them being knocked out of all cup competitions.

Charges against Marcus Rashford’s brother dropped in Florida court

Marcus Rashford’s older brother, Dane Rashford, was arrested in October 2023 for charges of assault in Miami. The police report claimed Dane had punched a woman in the face twice in an Uber. He was let out of jail after paying a bond of $1,500 and a court date had been set for 27th November, which didn’t happen for undisclosed reasons.

Finally, the case reached its conclusion, as a Florida court dropped all charges against him. His lawyer, Alex Spiro, claimed the charges were dropped quickly, with him not being required in court as well. Spiro further called the entire ordeal a “misunderstanding”. The Miami State Attorney had informed that they had difficulties in contacting the victim, which made it tougher to build a case. In the end, they needed to drop charges.
