Marcus Rashford is well known for his performances in a Manchester United jersey. He has been a crucial element of Erik ten Hag‘s United, in spite of inconsistent performances. He is also known for his actions off the pitch, mainly as an advocate for ending child food poverty through FareShare (a charity fighting hunger and food waste).
The U.K. media have released information regarding Marcus Rashford’s brother, Dane Rashford. As per reports, the player’s brother, who is a football agent by profession, was arrested in Miami. Dane was charged with battery, which was later specified as domestic violence, on October 24th, moments after Manchester United’s 4-3 loss to Copenhagen.

Dane, 31, has since been released from jail but will have to appear in court on November 27th for a hearing. The court has also issued a stay-away order to him, which prohibits him from contacting or approaching the undisclosed victim. The news has created buzz in the football community.
His bond was set at $1,500. This was reportedly paid a well after his arrest by Chantelle Maynard. Dane’s agency, DN May Sports, lists Marcus Rashford as a client.
Marcus Rashford’s red card costs Manchester United in the Champions League
Marcus Rashford featured in Manchester United’s 4-3 loss against Copenhagen. The Red Devils struggled against the home side, eventually losing the game 4-3. Even though United were cruising on a two-goal lead, an error from the United star cost his team dearly. While many labeled the red card as harsh and an officiating error, others blamed the player’s recklessness.

Rashford’s unfortunate moment came in the 39th minute, when he was in possession of the ball. The player was seen stepping on Elias Jelert as he was shielding the ball. In a freeze-frame of the incident, Rashford is seen stepping on the planted foot of the defender in an effort to protect the ball. VAR issued a straight red card for the player, bringing United down to ten men.
A 10-man United were unable to withstand the force of the Copenhagen attack, eventually falling to the home side. However, several pundits and former players have criticized the referee’s decision. Jamie Carragher, a former Liverpool player, said, “No way that’s a red for Rashford.” He also pointed the blame at the slow-motion replays that make everything ten times worse.
